Abstract Submission Guidelines

The Organizing Committee of IACR 2025 welcomes abstract submissions for the conference from the following participants:

  • Research Fellows in basic science and clinical science, Ph.D. candidates, or students pursuing MD/DNB.
  • Scientists, clinicians, post-doctoral researchers, industry/NGO professionals, or anyone who meets the criteria for paper presentation as per the vision of the Indian Association for Cancer Research (IACR).
  • All submitted abstracts will be initially reviewed according to the norms of research and ethical considerations for paper presentations at international conferences, as well as the theme of IACR 2025. For oral award abstract submission, all the submitted abstracts will be reviewed and those not qualifying oral award category will be considered for general poster presentation.
  • A single abstract can be presented by a single presenter.

Abstract should be prepared as per following formats:
  • TITLE SHOULD BE ALL UPPER CASE, TIMES NEW ROMAN, 12 FONT SIZE AND BOLD
  • All Authors Name, Surname should be in 'Times New Roman', 11 Font Size and the presenting author’s name should be underlined. Mentor Name* [for research fellows, * sign should be given at mentor’s name]
  • Institutes of the authors would be Times New Romans italics, 11 Font Size,
    [Presenting author e-mail should be provided in next line, Times New Roman, 10 Font Size]
  • Structured abstract [Times New Roman, 11 Font Size, Single Line space] with following subheading:
    • Background/ Introduction
    • Objectives
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results and Conclusions
  • Abstract word limit 250 words
  • Key Words: 5 keywords. [Times New Romans, 11 Font Size]
  • Ethical Declaration: The work utilizing animal model and or clinical samples, must provide the Ethical Declaration that research work duly approved by Appropriate ethics committee of the respective Institute. [Times New Romans, 11 Font Size, if any]
  • Acknowledgements: Times New Romans, 11 Font Size, if any
  • *Mentor’s affiliation and e-mail

  1. The research work must have been conducted in India and align with any of the conference tracks.
  2. Review articles will not be considered.
  3. Research work unrelated to cancer biology or clinical findings unrelated to cancer will not be considered.
  4. Results that have already been published or presented in the same format will not be accepted.

  1. Abstract Submission

    Abstracts can only be submitted through the conference's online registration system. Each abstract must specify the appropriate track of the conference and should be uploaded as a properly formatted Word document file (.doc/.docx)). Submissions through e-mail or any other method will not be accepted.

  2. Specify Submission Category

    In the online submission form, it is required to select the type of abstract submission category from the following options:

    4. General poster presentation
    5. YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD CATEGORY:[Candidates need to send their abstract and other details through e-mail to the IACR Head office Mumbai iacroffice@actrec.gov.in,   iacroffice@gmail.com. Read the IACR website for details [http://iacr.in/awards.php]. Once accepted by the Head office candidate can submit the abstract to the conference registration system]
  3. Required Documents

    Those nominating their abstract for an award category need to upload a certificate in .PDF format:

Abstracts nominated for different award categories will be shortlisted for suitability in the respective award categories of paper presentation, decision will be communicated in due time.
